A good day for photos
Today I felt like going on an adventure. So I grabbed my camera and went on the hunt for photo spots.
Living just outside the perimeter I always drive by the infamous King and Queen towers. I’ve wanted to capture them for a while, but wasn’t quite sure how to get a shot that incorporated them. After leaving I took a few random turns and was lucky enough to find a parking garage with a stunning view of these iconic towers. I got extremely lucky as I wasn’t supposed to be there, but the security guard let me have 10 minutes to take photos. This wasn’t the easiest shot to get, but I was still very lucky. There just happened to be a section of wall with no cars parked in front of it, giving me just enough space to give an illusion of an empty parking deck. Unfortunately there was cars in pretty much every other spot. This meant I couldn’t really get far enough back to get the exact shot I wanted. But this definitely turned out well. I will have to try my luck and come back in the early morning some time. Hopefully I will be allowed back.
Continuing My Journey
I was running out of daylight fast, so I went to another area and tried to grab some other photos before it was too late. This time in front of an interesting looking office building off Ashford Dunwoody. It had non reflective glass, and made for some decent photos. I thought I would leave the headlights on and experiment with some angles that I hadn’t seen very often.
One Final Shot
Finally I went to one last spot. The sun set pretty quickly after but I wasn’t quite done driving around. I happened upon one last spot. Unfortunately this spot had a bit of a spooky vibe. I figured I’d give it a shot, but it really wasn’t inspiring. Also there was quite a few signs making it clear that I was under video surveillance, so I got the impression they didn’t want me shooting there. I snapped a quick picture and decided to call it a day from there.
After a long refreshing Saturday nap I feel taking photos of Raiden was the perfect way to spend the evening. I need to start taking more advantage of the nice weather that comes with Fall. Hopefully I can find some good spots for capturing Fall colors.
